Thank you for helping us reach our goal!

The 2026 3Arts/MSUFCU Community Award campaign has officially reached its goal of funding a $30,000 unrestricted 3Arts Award for an extraordinary Chicago artist, and we couldn't have done it without you!

STRETCH GOAL!  Every gift continues to make a difference. While we've reached our goal, the campaign remains open until midnight tonight. Any additional gifts will help extend the impact of this collective effort by supporting our responsive grant programs aimed to help artists navigate moments of crisis (3ER) or seize opportunities that can advance their careers (3-Opp).

Chicago is defined by the artists who live and work here. They are the heartbeat of our neighborhoods, shaping ideas into physical existence. Thanks to the generosity of the Community Award supporters, we will once again be able to honor and invest in an artist whose work strengthens our communities and enriches our city.

And thanks to the generous support of MSU Federal Credit Union, gifts to this year's campaign were matched dollar-for-dollar up to $15,000, doubling the impact of contributions made along the way.
Thank you for helping us celebrate, support and invest in Chicago artists.

About This Project

"The fact that this award comes from a bunch of people, from all over, trusting that this award is going to someone really active in their community –– I couldn’t be more aligned. They believe in artists and they believe in community. I’m excited to see who they’ll be, and deeply grateful.”

~Wendy Clinard, 2025 3Arts/MSUFCU Community Awardee

Each year, Chicago artists who reflect our mission receive 3Arts Awards of $30,000, with no strings attached. Artists may use the awards to support new work, pay off debt, purchase equipment, travel, or start a savings account, or however they wish. For most of them, our award is the first they have been recognized for their vital role in sustaining the arts.

An unrestricted award is significant on its own, but 3Arts Awards represent more than just cash. They are the entry point to career-spanning support that helps artists build momentum over time. 3Arts awardees are eligible for project funding, residency fellowships, informal and formal professional development, and promotion. Learn more about the 3Arts Awards selection process and past recipients.

SAVE THE DATE! We will celebrate the new Community Award recipient on October 26 during the 2026 3Arts Awards Celebration at the Harris Theater.
