Kirsten Fitzgerald is a proud member of the Artistic Ensemble at A Red Orchid Theatre and its Artistic Director since 2008. She is on stage there now in Wallace Shawn’s Evening at the Talkhouse. With a love for nurturing new talent and developing new plays, she has been fortunate to originate roles in the world premieres of Pilgrim’s Progress by Brett Neveu (A Red Orchid Theatre), Appropriate by Brandon Jacob Jenkins (Victory Gardens Theatre), as well as Tracy Letts’ Mary Page Marlow and Bruce Norris’ The Qualms (Steppenwolf Theatre), among others. She also has worked with Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Goodman Theatre, Shattered Globe, Remy Bumppo, Plasticene, Prop, Next, Famous Door, Defiant Theatre, and more. Television credits include The Exorcist, Sirens, Chicago Med, Chicago Justice, Chicago Fire, Underemployed, and ER. Kirsten is a native of Chicago and the north suburbs, attended The University of Kansas (BA), and received her MFA in acting from The University of Iowa.
