
Aaliyah Christina
Aaliyah Christina is an administrator, curator, improvisational movement maker, and writer based in Washington Park on the South Side of Chicago. She performs, highlights, and studies Black American stories through a liberationist lens. As Associate Curator & Artist Programs Manager at Links Hall, she ensures the voices of artists are centered through the process of programming and creating new works.
Aaliyah collaborates and supports Chicago's community of artists and organizations, including working with Keyierra Collins, Darling Shear, Assata's Daughters, The Fly Honey Show, Red Clay Dance Company, and Chicago Dancemakers Forum, to name a few. Alongside her work at Links Hall, she is an artist-in-residence at High Concept Labs and a Co-Organizer & Content Curator for Performance Response Journal. She began her journey in Chicago as a dance major at The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago where she received her Bachelor of Art in 2016.
