Dance

Tish (she/her) is a vibrant young teacher of dance on the South Side of Chicago who was once frustrated with the decline of community centers in urban areas. In 2001, she decided to create a solution called The Empiire Dance Institute. With over 3,000 championships, national TV and magazine appearances, and more than 70 dancers from the ages 3-35, Tish celebrates and showcases talents from ballet to footwork, jazz, and hip-hop. Tish and The Empiire Dance Institute have performed all over the United States, from New York to California, winning multiple categories as overall champions! They recently have been celebrated as the first Bud Billiken Parade Grand Marshall from the dance industry.
