Kurt Chiang is Artistic Director and Ensemble Member with The Neo-Futurists. For nine years, he has written/performed/directed over 250 of his own two-minute plays in the company’s signature and distinct mode of theater and non-illusory performance. In 2017 he has been active with the rest of the ensemble in the creation of their new flagship, late-night show The Infinite Wrench. Kurt initiated and curated the first Neo-Futurist Kitchen Festival in 2016, bringing together a host of local and national theater artists of indefinable and hybrid genres. Other credits with the Neos include Haymaker (Director), Mike Mother (Lead Devisor), and his original written and devised play Analog (2013). Recently, he continues to foster the new experimental storytelling show The Arrow, co-created with Lily Mooney. He originates from Maryland and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, and has lived in Chicago since 2005.
