STRETCH GOAL! Thank you so much to everyone in my community who contributed to this campaign!!! I can't believe we've made it this far! We reached our first milestone to cover the cost of promotional material with our initial goal of $6,000. With time left, we are working towards a final goal of $10,000. This will complete funding for remaining studio sessions of "Taste the Wild Summer," and ensure equitable pay for the artists involved.  I will be working with Studio2424 to record, mix and master the remainder of my project. Please help support independent music!

My joy is to create music as a vehicle for healing and exploring matters of the heart. In 2025, I’ll release my sophomore album entitled Taste the Wild Summer, a soulful, rhythmic, and passion-filled journey into layers of love and lovingkindness. I want this to be a gift to music lovers everywhere. As a self-publishing artist, I need to manage not only the recording, but a successful promotional campaign as well. With this community support, I will release the album and have all the tools to share it with as wide an audience as possible.

About This Project

Pretend for a moment that music is medicine and a means to help us embrace the richness of our lives and our connection to each other. These past several years, we have been enduring a world full of uncertainty, war, and sickness. Still we have persevered by finding healing and humanity through love.  As creators are making art to help us make sense of the darkness, we are also creating the soundscapes that journey alongside the transcendent experiences of finding loving human connection. This is the spirit of Taste the Wild Summer.

Sonically, this work is where modern jazz meets soul, gospel, and my own interpretations of world music. To me, this sound, this album, represents all sorts of people coming together at once - for goodness’ sake. I hope that the music I make facilitates collective catharsis.

Why is your help important?  Most of the lucrative gigs that musicians are paid for are to play cover songs and background music. That’s fine, as there is indeed a sense of comfort in hearing familiar tunes from familiar artists.  Still, emerging artists are creating new sounds and messages every day. Unfortunately, due to lack of resources, independent artists struggle to get our original music out into the world and into the hands and hearts of people. Music has quite literally saved my mental health.

So here’s the plan: I have already completed much of the recording and producing for this new album, save one or two more final studio sessions for final touches. However, as mentioned, recording is only one side of the commercial music release process.  The other critical piece, which can make or break its success, is effective promotion. With this funding, I will hire videographers, photographers, and digital marketers to create professional visual content. The goal is to fuel a targeted marketing campaign so that existing and potential audiences can know that the music is out there.  Examples of content that will be created include live filming of the final recording sessions for YouTube and social media, a major visual and photo shoot for the album’s lead single being released this summer, and digital ads.  It will all be inspired by the energy and support from this campaign. Lastly, I’m going to release the entire finished album in March of 2025.

I hope you’ll join me on a creative healing journey by supporting this campaign. Thank you!

    Hey everyone!

Thank you for you! I have felt your heart, and your support of my music throughout this campaign! I want to say thank you, and let you know how excited I am to share my new music with you!!! The music industry is going to do what it’s going to do, and it’s hard to control my own output as an independent artist, but you are making a major difference. Thank you!

Here's an update: we're are in the mixing & mastering phases of recording my next single! I am excited!! Every time I listen to it, it has a deeper meaning of what it's like to be in "The Middle" of a mystery as it unfolds. I want to share more, but I'll wait until that release date!!!

We have 11 days left, so please please share this link with your friends! To reach my final goal I only need 60 people in my community to give $30.

Any support, in any measure, will go a long way. You have already done so much just by being in my sphere. Contribute by clicking the link, and cross the finish line with me. Much peace and love always!
