University of Illinois at Chicago
Annually, 3Arts offers four in-town fellowships for Deaf and disabled artists in partnership with UIC's Bodies of Work and the Department of Disability and Human Development. These customized residencies are centered on professional development, the creation of new work, and advocating for disability arts, culture, and aesthetics on and off campus.
In addition to determining their own artistic goals, artists may opt to teach master classes, take part in critiques, work with students and faculty, engage in public performances and presentations, and access UIC's tremendous resources.
3Arts Residency Fellowships at UIC are offered by invitation to practicing, disability-identified artists who live and work within the Chicago metropolitan area.
